Guide for Authors
Submission of a manuscript implies the following
• The work is original and has not been published before in Tamil language or under
consideration for publication elsewhere.
• All authors and responsible authorities consent for publication in the journal
Manuscripts should be submitted in electronic form directly to the journal Editor at the e-mail
address (email@example.com). Authors should prepare their articles as Microsoft (MS) Word
(2003 or higher). Electronic submissions should be sent as e-mail attachments in a single file.
The guideline to prepare manuscript is given below.
In the cover letter, the authors must attest that the research described in the manuscript is the
original work of the author(s) that has not been previously published in Tamil language, in whole
or in part, and that it is not under consideration by any other Tamil journal.
The journal publishes only Research Review articles. There is no page or word limit to any the
Preparation of Manuscript
Manuscript must be typed in English using MS Word software in double-spaced form and font
size used should be Times New Roman of 12 point. All the manuscript contents should be
included in a single document. The article format should be following: title, authors' names, with
their affiliations, abstract, keywords, manuscript content, references, acknowledgements (if
any), list of figure captions, figures and tables. All diagrams/images should be saved in MS
Manuscript should be divided into sections and each section should be clearly numbered. For
instance, “Introduction” should be numbered as “1” and any Subsections should be numbered
1.1, 1.2, etc. Note that “Abstract” and “References” should not be numbered.
Citation in text
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice
versa). It is the responsibility of authors to provide correct references. Indicate references by
number(s) in square brackets in line with the text. References to published literature must be
cited in the text as follows:
Example-1: ...due to extraction [1,2].
Example-2: Kumar et al.  demonstrated that...
Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended as references.
Number the references (numbers in square brackets) in the list in the order in which they appear
in the text and arrange it at the end of manuscript.
Reference to a journal publication:
 Kumar, A.V.K., Harry, S. and Henry, R. (2015) Adsorption of nitrate using activated carbon.
Journal of Environmental Health and Science, 34, 231-238.
Reference to a book:
 Heinemann, K. and Marie, S. (2012) Adsorption science and applications. 3rd ed.

Figures submitted (line drawings, photos, micrographs, etc.) should be digital files for highest
quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines:
• 300 dpi or higher
• Use consistent lettering and sizing
• Provide captions to figures separately
• Properly sized to fit on journal page
• The preferred format is MS Word.
• If you prepared figures using MS applications, paste the file in MS Word without losing format.
For photographs, the preferred file is JPEG (300 dpi or higher)
Prepare Tables using MS Word software. Kindly submit tables as editable text and not as
images. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text.
Abbreviations should be defined in a footnote at the end of the table or as part of the Table
caption. If any material in a table has been taken from a previously copyrighted publication,
provide a credit line giving full credit to the original source.
All funding sources should be properly acknowledged in the manuscript. It is the responsibility of
authors to include relevant grant numbers and the URL of any funder's website.
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published
elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s). It is required to
include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any
material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Plagiarism and research misconduct
Kindly note that all submitted manuscripts will be screened for originality and plagiarism check.
It should also be noted that authors are sole responsible for any scientific misconduct including
plagiarism in their manuscript. Therefore, publisher is not responsible for any scientific
misconduct happened in any published research manuscript. As a publisher we will follow
stringent scientific guidelines and even retract any article at any time if scientific misconduct or
errors happened in any articles.
